A note from the founder
The name L’Appartement comes from the idea that style is something you figure out in your own space.
I grew up in Paris and have called Kitsilano home since 2013. As a student, the apartment I lived in was where the fashion happened. I would shop, bring things home, try them on, experiment, and decide what felt right before going out. Not in a particular store or neighbourhood, but at home. There’s a real joy in that process that I try to reach for every day.
After years of moving between Paris and Vancouver, I found myself drawn to pieces that worked in both places: refined but relaxed, distinctive but easy to wear. The selection at L’Appartement reflects that balance. These are brands you might discover on a stroll through Paris, chosen to feel just as at home in Vancouver.
